Radiohead-Approved Fan Film of Haiti Benefit Show Released
In January 2009, Radiohead played a benefit show for victims of the Haiti earthquake at the Music Box at the Fonda in Los Angeles.
A high-quality, fan-made film of the entire concert is available online, with Radiohead’s blessing. You can either download it or watch it on YouTube.
Both Radiohead and the makers of the concert film encourage you to donate to Oxfam America’s Haiti Earthquake and Recovery Fund.

Dar Williams Hopes 2011 is the Year We Conquer E-Waste
On the Huffington Post, singer-songwriter Dar Williams asked others to join her in pledging to responsibly recycle old electronics and to advocate for stronger state electronic takeback laws (24 states already have them).

Kenyan Kids’ “Trash is Cash” Video Wins Award
Wafalme, a hip-hop group comprised of kids from the slums of Nairobi, Kenya, created an awarding-winning rap video.
The video – “Trash is Cash” – won ViewChange.org‘s Online Film Contest in the sustainabilty category.
In the video, the kids rap about how recycling material in landfills can create green jobs and a greener economy.
Bjork Sings Karaoke to Save Iceland’s Energy
On Jan. 6, Bjork launched a three-day karaoke marathon in Reykjavik to raise awareness about a takeover of Iceland’s energy company HS Orka by Canadian company Magma Energy.
The event was designed to urge Icelanders to sign a petition calling for a referendum on the ownership of natural resources.
Over 20,000 people have signed the petition already, a great head start on Bjork’s goal of 35,000 signatures.

The All-American Rejects auctioned off ten autographed copies of their album, When the World Comes Down, with all proceeds benefiting charity: water.
